Our team is lean and mean, and structured that way for a reason: We only take on a select number of design clients per year, and prioritize projects that are nearby. This way, we can provide a more hands-on experience while also supporting local vendors in our own community.

Meet Jess
Unabashed chair hoarder, kitchen-dweller, antique collector, and lover of all things olive green.
Jess Landis is the Founder of Studio JL and the creative mind behind the designs. As an interior design tastemaker, she delivers an effortless take on the quintessential laid-back California style that perfectly balances a warm modern aesthetic with her love of antiques.
Living in Santa Ynez and being surrounded by such natural beauty provides constant inspiration for her. From Country Farmhouse, to Spanish Ranch, and European Cottage, her love of old-world charm and slow-living sensibility are ever-present in all of her designs.
Meet Blake
Surf addict, serial entrepreneur,
& Jess's partner in love and life.
Officially, Blake is Co-Founder of Studio JL, but around here, we like to call him the glue.
A true jack-of-all-trades, he keeps Studio JL moving—from importing and logistics to craftsmanship, installations, and, of course, the Home Shop. Equal parts handy, hospitable, and business-minded, he has a way of figuring just about anything out!
Meet Breanna
Breanna is Studio JL’s Shop + Project Coordinator and also happens to be an incredibly talented floral designer (lucky us!).
Equal parts creative and organized, she helps keep both the Home Shop and our design projects running smoothly—from behind-the-scenes details and client coordination to keeping all the moving pieces on track. She’s an essential part of bringing the Studio JL magic together!
